TEHRAN -- Archeologists of the Cultural Heritage Organization working with their colleagues from the organization's Gilan office and following scientific excavations in Toul -- a district of the city of Talesh -- found precious ancient objects belonging to a civilization dating back to 8th century B.C.

The Director of Gilan's Cultural Heritage Organization, Mohammad-Taqi Razzazi, said that among the discovered objects is a bracelet carved in cuneiform text which reveals information about the hidden facets of the ancient civilization.

He said that the bracelet is made of admiralty brass and is believed to belong to the king of Orkash -- one of the powerful kings of the Urartu dynasty from 8th century B.C.

He said that the prized bracelet was transferred to the Cultural Heritage Organization for research and attempts to read the carved writings.

During the excavations other objects were also discovered with most made of bronze, admiralty brass, and clay, Razazi explained.
